Abstract

In this paper, one-dimensional advection-dispersion equation for concentration
of the water pollutants is solved assuming non-zero dispersion coefficient.
To solve the dispersion equation in unsteady state condition, the Laplace transformation
technique has been used. It is verified that the concentration of the
pollutants in a small river increases continuously with increasing downwind distance.
